The collaboration between Berkeley College and Guizhou University of Finance and Economics (GUFE) in China continues to grow. On January 10, 2018, 68 students from China arrived at the White Plains, NY, campus, to study at Berkeley College. The GUFE students will reside in student housing at Berkeley College in White Plains, NY, where they will earn credits toward their Bachelor’s degrees in business disciplines. Westchester Community College will offer English as a Second Language (ESL) courses to students from China who require ESL instruction.

Berkeley College will announce a Global Education Collaboration with Guizhou University of Finance and Economics (GUFE) in China and Westchester Community College. Westchester County Executive George Latimer will welcome the delegation of GUFE officials from China and 68 students who will be in their first day on the campus.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings for Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs are out and Berkeley College is No. 1 among colleges ranked in New Jersey and No. 8 among colleges ranked in New York. For the fifth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Berkeley College among the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs. Nationwide, Berkeley is No. 125 out of 357 schools surveyed. U.S. News & World Report ranked 259 out of these.

The Berkeley College community continues to assist the White Plains Youth Bureau with bringing holiday cheer to those in need. This season, Berkeley College associates purchased gifts for six families. The Bureau staff collected these gifts on December 14, 2017, to distribute to 11 children. Berkeley College associates also collected food to feed 13 families in White Plains, NY, for Thanksgiving. This is the seventh year the two organizations have partnered to serve those in need.

Berkeley College alumni continue to give back to their communities during the holiday season. Alumni collected more than 50 toys at a holiday reception held at Berkeley College in Woodland Park, NJ, on December 13, 2017. The toys will be donated to the Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, for children in need, just in time for the holidays.
