Jean Nash Wells has had a long career in media – television, radio, and print. She was with the original staff of the Children’s Television Workshop, producers of the PBS program Sesame Street. Her career in broadcast sales management includes stints at WNJR, WNCN, WWRL, Inner-City Broadcasting Corporation’s WBLS-FM, WLlB-AM and Showtime at the Apollo where she served as General Sales Manager. In 1989, she formed Jean Wells Associates, Inc., a full-service advertising and public relations agency with Inner City Broadcasting as one of her first clients.


In 2000, Ms. Wells joined longtime colleague, Adrian A. Council, Sr., to form The Positive Community Corporation and create a high quality-print publication that would cover news and information about the African-American community that the general print media did not cover. The Positive Community magazine is now in its 19th year of publication.


A lifelong learner, Ms. Wells attended Montclair State College, Rutgers University, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), and continues to learn more about the world via online courses.
