Cristyne Nicholas, CEO, co-founded Nicholas & Lence Communications (NLC) in 2007, building a start-up boutique firm into one of America’s top public relations agencies as cited by the New York Observer. She oversees NLC’s roster of public relations clients, from not-for-profit organizations to Fortune 500 companies.

 

Upon graduating from Rutgers University, Ms. Nicholas began her career in Washington, D.C., as a Capitol Hill press secretary, followed by serving as Communications Director for the Mayor of New York City, overseeing all communications for City Hall and 44 city agencies.

 

Prior to NLC, Ms. Nicholas was well-known for her dedication and commitment as CEO and President of NYC & Company, rebuilding the City’s $27 billion tourism industry following the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

 

Ms. Nicholas was named one of the Top 40 under 40 by Crain’s New York Business, one of the Top 25 People in travel by Travel Magazine, and one of the 50 Smartest New Yorkers under 50 by Avenue magazine. She was named among the Westchester Power 50 and received the “Above and Beyond” award from City & State.
