USCAA Recognizes Seven Berkeley College Basketball Standouts with All-American and Academic All-American Honors

USCAA RECOGNIZES SEVEN BERKELEY COLLEGE
BASKETBALL STANDOUTS

 

Seven Berkeley College basketball standouts received All-American and Academic All-American honors at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Basketball National Tournament Banquet, held on March 3, 2015, at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA. 

The honorees included four members of the Men’s Basketball team, who secured Berkeley College’s first national title by winning the USCAA Division II National Championship on March 7, 2015, as well as three members of the Women’s Basketball team. Honorees include: 
 

Men’s Basketball:

  • Kenton Chan-Man of Brooklyn – First Team All-American, Guard, Erasmus Hall High School
  • Alessandro DeAngelis of Manhattan – Academic All-American, Center, Altiero Spinneli (Italy)
  • Keenan Langston of Brooklyn – First Team All-American, Guard/Forward, Brooklyn Academy High School
  • Massiah Merritt of Brooklyn – All-American Honorable Mention, Guard, Alif Muhammad’s Nia School 

 

Women’s Basketball:

  • Rodnesha Diamond of Brooklyn – Academic All-American, Forward/Center, Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School
  • Champagne Hazel of Harlem – Second Team All-American, Forward, Murry Bergtraum High School for Business Careers
  • Patricia Patterson of Brooklyn – All-American Honorable Mention, Forward, Grand Street Campus High School 


In addition, Chris Bradley of the Bronx, an alumnus of Bangor Area High School in Pennsylvania, won the dunk competition during the USCAA skills contest.
