Since Rock Our Vets was established in 2015, the organization has supplied more than 1,000 laptops to military students continuing their education. More than 440 military and veteran students are enrolled at Berkeley College. Pictured above (L to R) are Ted Knapp, Co-founder, Rock Our Vets; Sophia Smith, Dean, Advisement, Berkeley College Newark; Eddie Restrepo of Union City, U.S. Army veteran; Ed Dennis, Assistant Vice President, Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, Berkeley College; and Aisha Springer of Irvington, U.S. Army National Guard. “The Rock Our Vets laptop program is just another way we say ‘thank you’ to the men and women who have put on the uniform to defend our country,” Mr. Knapp said. “The laptop is an essential tool for the success of their educational pursuits and we are happy to be able to provide them to our veterans in need.”
