Berkeley College held an Honors Scholars Graduate Reception to celebrate the achievements of students enrolled in the Honors Program at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ, on August 3, 2018.  Earlier that day more than 50 Honors students presented their research projects based on the theme Unspoken Barriers in Social Justice, in Woodland Park, NJ, and Manhattan, NY. Awards presented at the Reception included recognition for student academic performance and community service, and alumni, faculty and support staff, for their accomplishments.

Vanessa Wilson of East Orange, NJ, is a former Honors scholar and a recent Berkeley College graduate, cum laude, with a BBA in Fashion Merchandising and Management. Her aspiration is to become a fashion coordinator. “Ms. Wilson has taken the next step closer to her goal as she is employed as a customer experience stylist associate at Rent the Runway in Secaucus, NJ,” Dr. Hargrove said.  “In this position she uses her creative critical thinking abilities to solve customer problems, and is gaining experience in the skills a leader must have interacting with people, de-escalating issues, confronting situations and making the right decisions.”
