QUEENS RESIDENT NAMED RUNNER-UP IN 80TH ANNIVERSARY
VIDEO CONTEST AT BERKELEY COLLEGE

Berkeley College is proud to announce that Tenzin Sonam of Elmhurst in Queens, NY, has been named a runner-up in the 80th anniversary video contest. The contest invited students, alumni, faculty and staff to celebrate the College’s legacy of changing lives. Mr. Sonam is a student at the New York City location.

“Submissions used original songs, images, and on-screen text to express how Berkeley College has changed lives for 80 years by embracing diversity and fostering academic success,” said Stan Holland, 80th Anniversary Video Contest Committee Chair and Berkeley College Campus Operating Officer, Newark. “These videos show the many creative talents of our students and staff.”

Videos were reviewed by a panel of judges. Three grand-prize winners and three runners-up from the Berkeley College community were selected. Judging was based on message/relevance, factual accuracy, inspirational value, creativity, originality, and technical proficiency.

Grand-prize winners will receive their choice of a $1,000 cash prize or a four-day trip for two. Runners-up will receive an Apple iPad. In a raffle for early submissions, one student also was awarded an iPod Touch.
