Nassau County Seniors Awarded Berkeley College Scholarships

High school students from Nassau County, NY, have received scholarships to attend Berkeley College. Each year, these scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who demonstrate a high level of achievement. The scholarships are renewable, based on the recipient’s cumulative grade point average at the end of each academic year and continued enrollment as a full-time student. 

“We congratulate these students who have demonstrated their ability and desire to further their achievements by pursuing a college degree with a career focus,” said Michael Smith, President of Berkeley College. “These scholarships will help them succeed.” 

The following students have received scholarships to attend Berkeley College:

- Maura Colon of Rockville Centre, South Side High School
- Knyankah Cunningham of Valley Stream, Prepatory Academy for Writers
- Daniel Dasse of Westbury, Hicksville High School
- Janice Kang of Great Neck, William A. Shine South Great Neck High School
- Gabrielle Nardi of Garden City, Garden City High School
- Deanna Palacio of East Meadow, W. Tresper Clarke High School
- Shannon Pignetti of Seaford, Seaford High School
- Abigail Romero of Freeport, Valley Stream Christian Academy
- Sophia Scoleri of Massapequa, St. Anthony’s High School
- Nour Shehata of Syosset, Syosset High School
- Yasmine Smith of Baldwin, Baldwin Senior High School
- Donnesha Thompson Cooper of Hempstead, Uniondale High School
- Kaitlyn Viray of Valley Stream, Holy Trinity High School
