Photo Caption: Jairo Borja, Berkeley College Director, Business Development, was honored on October 16 at the Latino Stars Awards & Networking Event in Queens, NY. The event recognizes influential Latino men and women whose major achievements and participation in the community have made a difference in New York. In his role as Director, Business Development, Mr. Borja manages a team that seeks out internships and jobs for Berkeley College students and graduates, actively networking with area chambers of commerce and industry-specific organizations to seek out new employment opportunities. Pictured (L to R) are Mr. Borja, a resident of Linden, NJ, and Ruben Diaz Jr., Bronx Borough President, who served as a guest speaker at the event.
