During a special textile class held for Berkeley College interior design students and alumni at the Great Falls Historic District’s Paterson Museum, student Barbara Bestone of Kearny in Hudson County, NJ, was recognized for outstanding achievement by the Berkeley College Interior Design Department. A total of nine students were recognized.
“These award recipients take very different approaches in their design concepts, but what they all have in common is the perseverance and dedication to succeed,” said Alfonso Torino, PhD, a faculty member speaking at the event on behalf of the Berkeley College Interior Design Department. “We are very proud to acknowledge their hard work.”
The interior design program, which included a presentation of the history of textiles and a tour of the Paterson Museum, was sponsored in part by Knoll Textiles, Spinneybeck Leather, Mohawk Industries and Benjamin Moore & Co. Vendors from these companies attended the event and were on hand to speak with interior design students, alumni and faculty about the latest trends in the industry.
