HONORS STUDENT FROM MATAWAN RECEIVES FRESHMAN AWARD

FOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT FROM BERKELEY COLLEGE

Berkeley College Honors student Daniel Sarafian of Matawan in Monmouth County, NJ, received a  Freshman Award for Academic Achievement during the 2016 Honors Scholars Research Symposium held at Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan on Friday, August 26, 2016. 

“I am so proud of our Honors students,” said Byron K. Hargrove, PhD, Director, Berkeley College Honors Program.  “We pushed them, we challenged them, and they rose to the occasion,” he told the audience of faculty, staff, family, friends and fellow students.  Six freshman students received awards in the categories of Outstanding Academic Achievement and Outstanding Community Service. 

The Berkeley College Honors Program encourages and rewards academic excellence, social responsibility, and scholarship within a learning community of high-achievement students and innovative scholars/teachers.
