EFFECTIVE PRACTICES IN DISTANCE LEARNING SYMPOSIUM TO BE HELD DURING NATIONAL DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK AT BERKELEY COLLEGE IN WOODLAND PARK, NJ
How can distance learning change the world of higher education? Faculty are learning more about reaching and addressing students with different learning styles, ensuring that students persist and complete their classes, and how to make distance learners feel welcome within the first two weeks of their courses at a special symposium during National Distance Learning Week.
With more than 15 years of experience in distance learning related to higher education, Berkeley College Online faculty will be addressing these topics at breakout sessions. Keynote Speaker is Corinne Hoisington, Ph.D., Professor of Information Systems Technology, Central Virginia Community College, Lynchburg, VA. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Hoisington travels 200,000 miles a year speaking to educators and is the recipient of the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional in Computer Programming award. She is the author of more than a dozen books with Cengage Learning and is an expert about today’s hottest technologies.
