CAMBRIA HEIGHTS RESIDENT HONORED AS BERKELEY COLLEGE

SCHOOL OF HEALTH STUDIES PINS GRADUATES

The Berkeley College School of Health Studies recently conducted a pinning ceremony to honor graduates entering the fields of Practical Nursing and Patient Care Technology.  Ludenie Saint-Vil of Cambria Heights in Queens County, NY, received a Practical Nurse pin from Berkeley College.

Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College, gave the welcome address and pointed out the changes the students have made in their own lives.  “We are proud of each of our graduates,” he said. “We are proud of the fact that you will be representing Berkeley College as you embark on your careers – you will carry the skills and values that represent the Berkeley College traditions of excellence in teaching and learning and service to the community.”

The Berkeley College School of Health Studies was created to provide career-focused education in some of today’s most in-demand healthcare professions – in clinical specializations, as well as healthcare administration and management. Degree and certificate programs have been carefully developed to meet the needs of this important field.

Practical Nurse graduates provide care to their patients in a variety of healthcare environments, including physicians’ offices, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and home healthcare settings.

A leader in providing career-focused education since 1931, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls approximately 8,300 students – including more than 700 international students – in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree and Certificate programs. Students can study in more than 20 career fields. Berkeley College is comprised of the Larry L. Luing School of Business, the School of Professional Studies, the School of Health Studies, and the School of Liberal Arts. The School of Graduate Studies offers a Master of Business Administration degree in Management online and in Woodland Park, NJ.

Berkeley College has three New York locations – Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains.  In New Jersey there are six locations – Clifton, Dover, Newark, Paramus, Woodbridge and Woodland Park. Berkeley College Online® serves a global population. In January 2016, U.S. News & World Report named Berkeley College one of the Best Colleges for Online Bachelor’s Degrees for the third consecutive year.
