BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENTS AND STAFF ‘LIGHT THE NIGHT’
IN SUPPORT OF LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

Berkeley College students Amelia Davis, Erika Hidalgo, Melissa Vidam, Jasmine Alford, Mildred Angel, and Carlton Harris

Photo Caption: Berkeley College recently participated in the Light the Night Walk to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The group walked in support of a fellow student who recently lost her daughter to leukemia. Teams walked along the Hudson River holding lanterns to shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Earlier in the day, Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan hosted a National Cheeseburger Day fundraiser, during which associates and students built their own special meals from a hamburger bar in return for donations. The College participated through the Berkeley Cares initiative, which throughout the year assists charities in the critical areas of food, shelter, health and student success. Pictured (L to R) are Berkeley College students Amelia Davis of Brooklyn and Erika Hidalgo of Woodside, Queens; Melissa Vidam, Berkeley College Director, Multicultural and Community Affairs, Midtown Manhattan; and students Jasmine Alford of Brooklyn; Mildred Angel of the Bronx; and Carlton Harris of Jamaica, Queens.
