For a full four hours, there was a line of participants asking questions and eager to check their numbers,” said Taylor Cain, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for Village Super Market, Inc., with whom Berkeley College collaborated to offer the screening. “It is absolutely vital to provide blood pressure screenings in the community because there are so many people who are not aware of their numbers. Providing a free screening to the public is a proactive way to implement preventative measures that ultimately save healthcare costs and lives in the future. It also educates those in need.”
