BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENTS AND ASSOCIATES JOIN HANDS
TO HELP WITH HURRICANE RELIEF

College Community Donates More than $3,600 to American Red Cross

Photo Caption: Throughout September 2017, Berkeley College students and associates hosted bake sales, pizza parties and other events to benefit those affected by the recent hurricane disasters in Texas and Florida. “Berkeley College students and associates stepped in as they always do when there is a need,” said Janelle Giles, Director, Student Development and Campus Life, Berkeley College. “I’m happy to report that, working as a team, we raised more than $1,800. That amount was matched by the College through Berkeley Cares®, so more than $3,600 was donated to the American Red Cross.” The Berkeley Cares community service program builds on Berkeley’s long tradition of addressing important social issues.  Through this program, students, faculty and staff are committed to donating hours of service to the community.  Among the Berkeley College students in Woodland Park, NJ, who helped raise funds were (above, L to R) Itaty Vasquez of Paterson, Anya Polanco of Fair Lawn and Yadira Diaz of North Bergen.  Students from the Brooklyn, NY, campus who lent a hand by hosting a bake sale were Kehinde Obi, Kezzisha Charles, Margret Murray and T’lyssa Connell, all of Brooklyn (not pictured).
