MARCH IN NEW YORK CITY VETERANS DAY PARADE



Photo Caption: Members of the Berkeley College community, including student veterans from the Newark, Midtown Manhattan and Woodland Park locations, marched in the 2013 New York City Veterans Day Parade. Before the parade, the College organized a breakfast for participants and their families. Berkeley College serves approximately 500 military and veteran students in New York and New Jersey, and through Berkeley College Online. The College participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program under the G.I. Bill and collaborates on educational ventures with the National Guard, the Army and the Air Force, the GoArmyEd distance learning program, and the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership. The Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs has received several awards for its support of military students, including being named a Best For Vets College by Military Times magazine; a Top Military-Friendly College by Military Advanced Education magazine; and a Military Friendly School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs, Military Spouse and Vetrepreneur magazines.
