BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENT RECEIVES SCHOLARSHIP
FROM INTERNATIONAL COMMERCE CLUB NJ
Berkeley College is proud to announce that Michelle Defaz of Manhattan, NY, has received a scholarship from the International Commerce Club NJ. Ms. Defaz recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in International Business at the New York City Midtown Campus. She now holds an internship with the United Nations in New York.
The goal of the International Commerce Club is to foster international trade and development in the tri-state area. Ms. Defaz was awarded the scholarship for her the quality of her essay about protectionism and its impact on international trade and the shipping industry.
“The International Commerce Club has partnered with Berkeley College for several years,” said ICC President Karin Alfonso. “We continue to be impressed with the aptitude and qualifications of Berkeley College students who compete for the scholarship each year.”
“Michelle is a remarkable student,” said Berkeley College Dean, School of Business, John Rapanos, DPS, CFP. “She has participated in the Berkeley Cares community service program, has been named to the President’s and Dean’s Lists consistently, and has been inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta business honor society. We are pleased that ICC has recognized her many accomplishments with this scholarship.”
