BERKELEY COLLEGE SPONSORS CHARITY CAR SHOW
AT BERGEN CAMPUS
Vintage, classic, and antique cars from throughout the tri-state cruised into Paramus on Sunday, October 19, for the 4th Annual Charity Car Show at Berkeley College, Bergen Campus. The show featured 125 cars and raised $17,322.50, that included a matching donation from the College to benefit the Boomer Esiason Foundation to eliminate cystic fibrosis.
The mood was festive at the Berkeley fundraiser where WABC-TV Good Morning America Weekend Edition broadcast live. Employees in a WHTZ Z-100 FM van gave away prizes, and visitors of all ages were entertained by clowns. Youngsters were thrilled to discover fire trucks from the Garfield and Paramus Fire Departments among the lineup of vehicles. Thirty-four Berkeley College associates brought family and friends who volunteered to help.
“Even with the pressure on, our 4th Annual Charity Car Show broke all previous records,” said Berkeley College Paramus Campus Director of Admissions Robert Oddo, who organized the event. Although the date was carefully selected to ensure it as the only car show, two others previously rained out held their events the same day.
A leader in business education for 77 years, Berkeley College currently maintains an enrollment of over 6,000 students, with more than 600 international students in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs.
