Berkeley College is proud to announce that two runners have been named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-Academic Team for women’s cross country. The athletes attend Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan, NY.

“May I be the first to congratulate these student-athletes on their accolades,” said Andy DeStephano, Berkeley College Director of Athletics. “Their individual accomplishments have contributed to the overall success of our Women’s Cross Country team at Berkeley College.”

The commitment of these athletes to their studies consistently places them among the top student-athletes at Berkeley College.

The following athletes were recognized:

- Sarah Celin is a junior from Manhattan, NY. Ms. Celin has been a member of the Cross Country team for three seasons and placed as one of the top 10 female runners at the Hudson Valley Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship three years in a row.

- Lacey Garnett is a senior from Corona in Queens, NY. Ms. Garnett has been a member of the Cross Country team since its inaugural season in 2010. She has shown constant improvement throughout the years and her commitment to training prepared her for off-season participation in several local road races and half marathons.
