BERKELEY COLLEGE RECEIVES BUSINESS RECOGNITION AWARD FROM CITY OF NEWARK AT 2018 ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY AND MEMORIAL SERVICE

Photo Caption: At the 2018 Annual Awards Ceremony and Memorial Service of the City of Newark, Berkeley College was recognized and received the Business Recognition Award for its “continued partnership and dedication to the Citizens of Newark and the Department of Public Safety.” The award recognizes businesses and organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to partner with the Newark Department of Public Safety and the Newark Police Department for public safety initiatives and community engagement. The ceremony took place at St. Lucy's Church on Friday, May 25, 2018. Standing, from left to right, are Darnell Henry, Chief of Police, and Mayor Ras J. Baraka, both representing the City of Newark; Earl Brown, Berkeley College Campus Operating Officer, Newark; Michael McKnight, Public Safety Supervisor, and Anthony F. Ambrose, Director of Public Safety, both representing the City of Newark. The Newark Police Department continued its mission to strengthen trust within the community during a town hall discussion with students at Berkeley College in Newark, NJ, on December 5, 2017.
