Berkeley College is presenting the artwork of Giga Bliadze at its Midtown Manhattan Gallery, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City.  The exhibit is on display from March 4 through April 30, 2017 — Mondays through Fridays — from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mr. Bliadze was raised in Surami, a small town in the country of Georgia.  Described as a precocious child, he studied psychology, theology, physiognomy (determining character or personal characteristics), astrology, anatomy, and philosophy.  He studied at Tbilisi State Academy of the Arts, Georgia.  Throughout that time he painted, and often in a variety of styles.

“I love to travel as well,” said Mr. Bliadze, “and have found that helps me to affix my emotions onto canvas.”

Mr. Bliadze has displayed his art in the United States and overseas, including the World Fine Art Gallery, New York, NY; the New York Art Connection Gallery, East Islip, NY; Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection, Georgia; and the Kolkata National Gallery, India.

“In keeping with our international art exhibits, we have invited Mr. Bliadze to show his work in our gallery,” said Robert Keiber, Berkeley College Curator, Midtown Manhattan Gallery.  “Art unifies us.  It is the language everyone has in common, here and in other countries.  Plus, his work is fascinating.”

For more information about the exhibit, email Mr. Keiber at or call 212-252-2065.
