In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from mid September through mid October, Berkeley College is pleased to announce a Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibition at the Brooklyn Campus Gallery, 255 Duffield Street, Brooklyn. The call for entries of original artwork is open to all Brooklyn artists. All artists must be over the age of 18 working in traditional media (oil, acrylic, and watercolor), with photography and computer generated art also accepted. The original art must be at least 24” x 30” framed.
The submission deadline is Friday, August 12, with artwork to be judged by its relevance to Hispanic heritage. First, second, and third place winners will be notified by Friday, August 19. The first place award is a solo show at the Berkeley College Midtown Campus Gallery, 3 East 43rd Street, New York, NY 10017. Second and third place award is a two-person show at the same location.
The Hispanic Heritage Art Exhibition will be on display at the Brooklyn Campus Gallery from September 5 through October 26 Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:30 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. An artist’s reception will be held on Friday, September 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
To submit artwork, an application must be obtained from Robert Keiber, Curator, at rjk@BerkeleyCollege.edu. or by calling 212-252-2065. A 4” x 6” color print or color postcard should then be submitted with the application and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Robert Keiber at the Berkeley College Midtown Campus Gallery, 3 East 43rd Street, New York, NY 10017.
