BERKELEY COLLEGE PRESENTS AN EXHIBIT BY TAMI UYAMA -
ART MAKES HER GROW AND TELLS HER THE TRUTH
Berkeley College is presenting the artwork of Tami Uyama at its Brooklyn Gallery, 255 Duffield Street, Brooklyn. The exhibit is on display from November 11 through January 29, 2016—Mondays through Fridays—from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A very passionate artist, Ms. Uyama graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo, Japan, and then studied at the Academie de la Grande Chaumiere, Paris, France.
“Art makes me grow and tells me the truth,” said Ms. Uyama. “By drawing a painting, I see myself and face myself. And when I finish, I always sense happiness that I am allowed to have this experience.”
The artist has had many solo and group exhibitions in New York, Tokyo, London and Paris. The exhibitions include Rakuda-Kan, Tokyo; the Paris St. Honore Gallery, Paris; and Paul Kolker Gallery, New York. In June she showed her artwork at the Berkeley College Midtown Manhattan Gallery, and in the spring of 2014, she was one of a variety of artists from the World Fine Art Group who exhibited work at Berkeley College in Brooklyn.
For more information about the exhibit, e-mail Mr. Keiber at rjk@BerkeleyCollege.edu or call 212-252-2065.
