Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD, has announced that due to growing demand Berkeley College Online, the accredited degree-granting campus of Berkeley College, has relocated to larger, state-of-the-art headquarters at 600 Getty Avenue in Clifton, NJ.

“Berkeley College is experiencing tremendous growth using online technology for learning and teaching.  The flexible schedule works well for the lifestyles of our busy students. Plus, they have access to the rich curriculum, experienced faculty, and broad range of student support services such as the library, advisement, and career services that are offered to every Berkeley College student,” said Dr. Cortes. “These newly expanded facilities will accommodate the growing number of staff devoted exclusively to providing academic services for the online degree-seeking student.”

Berkeley College Online Campus Operating Officer Sharon Goldstein said that the new 10,000 square feet of space features an open floor plan and uses “smart” technology such as large high-definition monitors and wireless laptop computers with “soft” telephones and web cameras.  These technological advances allow faculty and staff to engage students in audio and video chats from any location.  And such a virtual network provides tremendous support for students to stay connected with the full range of in-depth online Berkeley College resources and the college community.

Since 2003, when Berkeley College first began offering fully accredited online degrees, the number of students enrolled in the full degree online program has steadily increased from 49 students to 766 students this year.  Nearly 2,000 students have registered to take at least one online class this fall.

A leader in business education for 78 years, Berkeley College maintains an enrollment of over 7,200 students, with more than 700 international students in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has four New Jersey campuses located in Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson), Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark; two New York campuses in Midtown Manhattan and White Plains; and an Extension Center in Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area. In addition, the College offers Berkeley College Online and Corporate Learning Partnerships.  Concentrations are offered in more than 20 career fields, and all campuses are accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
