BERKELEY COLLEGE ONLINE HOSTS TOY DRIVE
FOR CLIFTON CHILDREN

The faculty and staff of Berkeley College Online in Clifton, NJ, are brightening the holiday season for local children. Campus associates recently delivered personalized gifts to the state-funded Clifton Headstart Program, which provides child development services to economically disadvantaged children and their families.

“Berkeley College has always placed emphasis on making a difference in the community at-large,” said Campus Operating Officer, Berkeley College Online, Sharon Goldstein. “Berkeley College Online opened its offices in Clifton in 2009, and it is part of our mission to be a positive force in the community.”

Administrators at the Headstart Program delivered 56 handwritten letters to Santa from the children, and Berkeley College faculty and staff quickly began filling the toy requests.

“The response was outstanding,” said Berkeley College Online Admissions Associate Pat Meeney, who directed the effort. “It was our goal to fill all the children’s requests. Thanks to the generosity of our faculty and staff, we were successful.”

Ms. Meeney said this year’s Holiday Committee reached out to Clifton Mayor James Anzaldi, who suggested making a donation to the Headstart Program. Berkeley College associates accompanied Santa to deliver the gifts this week.

A leader in business education for 80 years, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls nearly 9,000 students —including more than 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has four New Jersey locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark.  And in New York there are four locations — Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, Brooklyn, and White Plains.  Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs. Programs are offered in more than 20 career fields. The website address is www.BerkeleyCollege.edu.
