BERKELEY COLLEGE ONLINE ANNOUNCES
NATIONAL DISTANCE LEARNING WEEK ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS

Sharon Goldstein, Campus Operating Officer, Berkeley College Online, is pleased to announce that Kathleen LoSchiavo of Bloomfield, NJ, is the winner of the National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) Essay Contest titled “Imagine the Future of Online Learning: What Does it Look Like?” Ms. LoSchiavo, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies – Criminal Justice through Berkeley College Online, won a Nook Color. 

Contest runners-up were Amad Channa of Middletown, NJ, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Services through a combination of on-site and online classes, and Sgt. Ladilvia Lee, an active duty Marine stationed in Okinawa, Japan, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Accounting through Berkeley College Online. Ms. Lee is a native of Florence, SC. The students won Berkeley College T-shirts.  

This fall, in conjunction with NDLW, Berkeley College celebrated 13 years of online learning and continued the yearlong 80th Anniversary celebration. In addition to hosting the NDLW Essay Contest, Berkeley College Online sponsored a Virtual Career Fair, an Active-Duty Military Open House, a Virtual Scavenger Hunt, a “Berkeley’s Got Talent!” Virtual Talent Show, and a “Walk Through Self-Service Registration” Webinar.
