Berkeley College is pleased to announce a new Bachelor of Science degree in National Security that will be offered in Woodland Park, NJ, and through Berkeley College Online®. The program is accepting enrollment for the Fall Quarter, which begins in September 2015.

The Bachelor of Science degree in National Security is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and address processes and procedures to protect citizens against threats to their safety within both the private and public sectors.  Graduates with this degree will be prepared to pursue career opportunities in fields such as critical infrastructure resilience, emergency preparedness and intelligence analysis, and serve a vital role in addressing national security concerns.

Within the National Security program, students will choose one of two areas of specialization.

Students who choose the Homeland Security specialization will examine the theories, concepts and practices immersed in security studies addressing topics ranging from domestic terrorism and violent extremism to the impact of weapons of mass destruction.

In the Cyber Security specialization, students will focus on the impact of cyber security and corporate security concerns emerging throughout the world.  Students will have the opportunity to create solutions and explore alternatives for information security-related problems in our communities and businesses.
