BERKELEY COLLEGE KNIGHTS WIN HUDSON VALLEY
MEN’S ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP
 
 
Photo Caption: The Berkeley College Knights soccer team, New York, completed its most successful season to date with a 3-0 victory over Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference Championship game. In only its third season of intercollegiate play, the team compiled a 13-6 record. Dela Wornawovor of the Bronx and Accra, Ghana; Philip Kim of Ozone Park, Queens; and Christ Assou of Brooklyn scored goals in the Championship game. Goalkeeper Lauga Oskarsdottir of Manhattan and Drammen, Norway, picked up a shutout and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. The team’s coach is Stavros Zomopoulos of Manhattan.
