BERKELEY COLLEGE KNIGHTS BASKETBALL TEAM
MAKES HISTORY AS HVMAC REGULAR SEASON CHAMPIONS

Brian D. Maher, Berkeley College Athletic Director, is proud to announce that the Berkeley College Knights basketball team, New York, finished in first place in the Hudson Valley Men’s Athletic Conference (HVMAC) regular season. It is the first time the team has achieved the honor.

“Concluding the regular season as conference champions and with an unblemished record in conference play is a testament to the hard work and dedication demonstrated by both our coaching staff and our student-athletes,” Mr. Maher said. “Berkeley College is proud of this well-deserved accomplishment.”

The Knights were undefeated in conference play with a 6-0 record, andwill enter the HVMAC postseason as the No. 1 seed. The team is ranked fourth in the nation in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), putting the Knights in position to earn a bid to the USCAA National Championships in March.

“Though we are entering the postseason on a nine-game winning streak, it is our ability to prepare well that influenced our accomplishments thus far,” Chris Christiansen, Berkeley College Knights Head Coach, said. “Our athletes have worked hard to learn and adapt to this system in a short time, and this has helped them establish success both on and off the court.”

A leader in business education for 80 years, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls nearly 9,000 students — including more than 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The Collegehas four New York locations —Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan in the Wall Street area, Brooklyn, and White Plains.  And in New Jersey there are four locations —Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark.  Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs.
