DELIVERS WAGONS OF TOYS TO LOCAL HAVEN FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

Photo Caption A: The Berkeley College Information Systems department recently assembled wagons filled with toys that were donated to children at Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children in Paterson, NJ. The activity was part of an annual team-building activity to benefit charity. “We really appreciate the wagons that were delivered to us this year,” said Wanda Cuebas, In-Kind Donations Coordinator, Oasis. “The kids really enjoyed all the toys that were included.” Oasis meets its residents’ basic needs – food, clothing, education and childcare – as well as resources to make them self-sufficient and economically independent. Last year, the department built and donated bicycles to the organization. “This year the Berkeley College Information Systems department ran a team building event, where the staff assembled radio flyer wagons. The wagons were decorated and filled with other toys that staff members donated.   Not only was the event a success, but it helped support Oasis - A Haven for Women and Children,” said Len De Botton, Berkeley College Chief Information Officer.
