BERKELEY COLLEGE INDUCTS AMITYVILLE STUDENT
INTO ALPHA SIGMA LAMBDA NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

 

Sherika Cheese of Amityville in Suffolk County, NY, has been inducted into the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society at Berkeley College. 

“Congratulations to the Berkeley College students who have been inducted into national honor societies,” said Dario A. Cortes, PhD, President of Berkeley College. “Membership is a mark of excellence that not only recognizes academic achievement, but also positions these students competitively as leaders in their chosen professions.” 

The Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society was founded in 1945 to honor dedicated adult and non-traditional students who handle their life responsibilities while achieving and maintaining a high level of academic success. To qualify, students must have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher and must rank in the top 20 percent of their class. 

A leader in providing career-focused education since 1931, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls approximately 8,000 students – including more than 900 international students – in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree and Certificate programs.
