BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES WAYNE SCHOLAR

FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK

 

Photo Caption:  Berkeley College Honors Scholar Pamela Macek (center) of Wayne, NJ, received the 2015 Honors Academic Award and the 2015 Honorable Mention for Honors Service Award at the Berkeley College Honors Program Ceremony held at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. The awards recognize a scholar who completes an outstanding thesis, consistently demonstrates exceptional academic achievement, and has shown a commitment to service in his or her community. The thesis by Ms. Macek was titled “The Silent Beating: Non-physical Abuse and the Catalytic Impact Citizens Can Create.” She has donated time to Berkeley Bold, the College’s student lifestyle magazine and to the March of Dimes.  Ms. Macek is pictured with Donald Kieffer (left), PhD, Dean, Berkeley College School of Liberal Arts, and Byron Hargrove, PhD, Director, Honors Program, and Faculty, Humanities and Social Services, Berkeley College School of Liberal Arts.
