HASKELL SCHOLAR FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE WORK

 

 

Photo CaptionBerkeley College Honors Scholar James Stokem (center) of Haskell, NJ, received the 2015 Honorable Mention for Honors Service Award at the Berkeley College Honors Program Ceremony held at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ, on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. The award recognizes a scholar who completes an outstanding thesis and has shown a commitment to service in his or her community. The thesis by Mr. Stokem was titled “Redefining New York City: The Economic Journey of an Innovative Sustainable City.” He served as a student orientation leader, a student ambassador and a tutor.  Mr. Stokem is pictured with Donald Kieffer (left), PhD, Dean, Berkeley College School of Liberal Arts, and Byron Hargrove, PhD, Director, Honors Program, and Faculty, Humanities and Social Services, Berkeley College School of Liberal Arts.
