BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES
ELMWOOD PARK SCHOLAR FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Photo Caption: On Tuesday, September 16, Tanya Salemme of Elmwood Park, NJ, received the 2014 Academic Excellence Award through the Berkeley College Honors Program. The award, which was presented at the Chart House in Weehawken, recognizes a scholar who consistently demonstrates exceptional academic achievement. The award was presented during the Berkeley College Honors Program Graduate Reception, which marked the completion of work by 38 Honors Scholars who showcased thesis posters and presentations at the first Honors Scholar Research Symposium in Midtown Manhattan on September 12. The thesis by Ms. Salemme was titled “Murdering Minds: The Physiological Behavior and Composition of Brains Hardwired to Kill.” At the Honors Program Graduate Reception, scholars received Certificates of Completion and honor cords to be worn with their caps and gowns at Commencement. Ms. Salemme is pursuing a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management through Berkeley College Online®.
