BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS PROGRAM RECOGNIZES
BROOKLYN SCHOLAR FOR OUTSTANDING THESIS

Photo Caption: On Tuesday, September 16, Tamara Desrosiers of Brooklyn, NY, received the 2014 Student Scholarship Award through the Berkeley College Honors Program. The award, presented at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ, recognizes a scholar who completes an outstanding thesis. The award was presented during the Berkeley College Honors Program Graduate Reception, which marked the completion of work by 38 Honors Scholars who showcased thesis posters and presentations at the first Honors Scholar Research Symposium in Midtown Manhattan on September 12. The thesis by Ms. Desrosiers was titled “Litigation v. Arbitration: Court Mandated Arbitration and the Violation of an Individual’s Constitutional Right to a Jury Trial.” At the Honors Program Graduate Reception, scholars received Certificates of Completion and honor cords to be worn with their caps and gowns at Commencement. Ms. Desrosiers is pursuing a degree in Legal Studies at Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan, NY. Left to right are Byron Hargrove, PhD, Director, Honors Program; Ms. Desrosiers; and Dario A.
