BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS DEBORAH RANGES
WITH OUTSTANDING TEACHING AWARD
Berkeley College recently honored Deborah Ranges, JD, by presenting her with the New Jersey Outstanding Teaching Award. The award recognizes a faculty member who is a role model in demonstrating commitment to the success of Berkeley students.
Ms. Ranges, Chair, Professional Studies, NJ, School of Professional Studies, joined Berkeley College as an adjunct instructor in the NJ Paralegal Program in January 2001 and became a fulltime faculty member in January 2005. She has been a faculty member for nine years and has practiced law for 15 years.
“While it is true that Debbie’s credentials are quite impressive, that is not what makes her loved by students and respected by faculty members at Berkeley,” says Dean, School of Professional Studies Marisol Abuin, JD. “Look at her through the eyes of her students, and you will see a tireless advocate and supporter of their academic growth and successes, someone who really cares about them and their future. Look at her through the eyes of her colleagues, and you will see a consummate professional with an incredible work ethic who cares about the quality of her work.”
Ms. Ranges’ professional experience includes Senior Claims Representative, dealing with Litigated Bodily Injury lawsuits for AAA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Company in Wayne; Associate Attorney, working on Personal Injury and Civil Litigation cases for James P. Berado, P.C. in Totowa; and Associate Attorney working on Insurance Defense cases for Schwartz, Tobia & Stanziale, Esqs, in Montclair.
Ms. Ranges has a Doctor of Law degree from the University of Baltimore and a BA degree from Rutgers University, NJ.
