BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS BROOKLYN STUDENTS
AT 2018 ATHLETICS BANQUET

Berkeley College honored more than 100 student-athletes during the Fifth Annual Athletics Banquet, held on May 1, 2018, at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ. Twenty-three athletes received special recognition for their athletic prowess, team spirit, or improvement during the season.

Award recipients from Brooklyn, NY, included:

  • Ebony Lofton, Most Improved Player Award, Women’s Basketball
  • Ayana Ratliffe, Most Valuable Player Award, Women’s Basketball
  • Salaimon Sarwari, Coach’s Award, Men’s Soccer
  • Shamoree Strawn, Most Improved Player Award, Men’s Basketball
  • Michael Taylor, Most Valuable Player Award, Men’s Basketball

Andy DeStephano, Director of Athletics, congratulated the student-athletes on their hard work and persistence.

“Regardless of our challenges, we still find a way to succeed,” Mr. Stephano said. “We still find a way to win and we do it with grace and dignity.”
