BERKELEY COLLEGE HONORS BERGEN COUNTY STUDENTS
AT 2018 ATHLETICS BANQUET

Berkeley College honored more than 100 student-athletes during the Fifth Annual Athletics Banquet, held on May 1, 2018, at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ. Twenty-three athletes received special recognition for their athletic prowess, team spirit, or improvement during the season.

The following Bergen County residents were recognized:

  • Melissa Ramirez of Bogota, Most Improved Runner Award, Women’s Cross-Country
  • Anthony Argueta of Fairview, Most Valuable Runner Award, Men’s Cross-Country

Andy DeStephano, Director of Athletics, congratulated the student-athletes on their hard work and persistence.

“Regardless of our challenges, we still find a way to succeed,” Mr. Stephano said. “We still find a way to win and we do it with grace and dignity.”
