BERKELEY COLLEGE FURTHERS WOODLAND PARK RENAISSANCE
The Woodland Park Renaissance of Berkeley College began in earnest this spring with major architectural renovations to serve the needs of students better at the Woodland Park, NJ, location. The project, which will be completed in phases, includes a new Student Center as well as renovations to the Admissions and Academic buildings.
“Berkeley College’s Woodland Park Renaissance will provide a newly transformed state-of-the-art facility that will enhance the teaching and learning environment,” said Dario A. Cortes, PhD, President of Berkeley College. “In addition, it will offer new academic programs that serve our students in their quest for career success.”
The old Student Center will become the new Admissions Visitor Center. The adjacent building, which formerly served as student housing, will be renovated to include an atrium, student lounge and dining services, state-of-the-art library, Academic Support Center, bookstore and fitness room.
The transformation will include the creation of new design studios that will support the popular Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Interior Design, as well as the proposed new Bachelor of Fine Arts program in Graphic Design. The renovations in the Academic buildings will accommodate the widening fields of interest among students in International Business, Management, Accounting, Justice Studies, Legal Studies, Fashion Marketing and Management, Marketing Communications and Information Technology Management.
