MILITARY-FRIENDLY COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
Berkeley College is recognized for its outstanding military programs and veteran support services in the 2009 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities, published by Military Advanced Education, a journal of higher learning for servicemen and women.
Berkeley College was ranked among the top 3 percent of more than 5,000 colleges nationwide. The guide also features an interview with Berkeley College President Dario A. Cortes, PhD.
Berkeley College launched its Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, headed by Assistant Vice President Richard E. Robitaille, EdD, in June 2009. The College currently assists active military personnel and veterans through the Yellow Ribbon Program under the G.I. Bill, as well as through partnerships with the National Guard and the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership.
Earlier this year, Berkeley College was rated a Military-Friendly School for 2010 by G.I. Jobs magazine, an award honoring the colleges that do the most to embrace student veterans.
