Berkeley College Exhibits the Work

of Celebrity Photographer Michelle Kole

Berkeley College is exhibiting an array of photos by celebrity photographer Michelle Kole at its New York City Midtown Campus Gallery, First Floor Lobby, 3 East 43rd Street. This exhibit will be on display from April 5 through 30.  It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.  An artist’s reception will be held on Wednesday, April 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

This the debut show for Ms. Kole who hails from Rockland County, NY.  “Early on, my parents saw my interest in taking pictures and always lent their encouragement,” she said.  “My dad, who was also interested in photography, taught me the basics.  I learned my way around a darkroom and how to shoot.  I soaked it up and knew there wasn’t any question that this would be my life.”  She attended the University of Delaware, making sure to take any photography class that was offered, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.  Before embarking on a career, she trained further at the International Center of Photography, New York, NY.

In a short while, Ms. Kole's talent became apparent, and she was fortunate enough to photograph a number of celebrities.  They include Kat DeLuna, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, Tiki Barber, Bill and Giuliana Rancic, and Audrina Patridge.  Some of her photos have appeared in magazines, including People, OK! (their highest grossing to date), US, Billboard, and TV Guide.
