BERKELEY COLLEGE DEVELOPS ONLINE
#NewsBerkeley #JobSearch #CareerDevelopment #Careers #OnlineJobSearch
The Job Search is a comprehensive five-module workshop that was developed collaboratively with the professionals in the Career Services and Online Faculty Support departments to assist job seekers with a better understanding of the process that goes into making the next step in their careers.
“The career counselor professionals at Berkeley College have seen that individuals need to learn new methods and appropriate strategies to be successful in their job searches, and how employers, too, would benefit from more applicants,” said Amy Soricelli, Vice President, Berkeley College Career Services.
The five modules in The Job Search online workshop allow the user to approach the material at a pace according to her or his own schedule. Modules will touch upon how to self-evaluate and establish a career plan, how to create a resume and cover letter, and how to enhance your digital presence, as well as tips for professional networking and job interviews.
“Berkeley College continues to seek ways that online learning can improve our lives, as we begin our 20th year of delivering an online curriculum,” said Sharon Goldstein, Campus Operating Officer, Berkeley College Online®. “The way you go about looking for a job today is very different than years ago when you knew what the position or job title was and could find that listed in a newspaper. The Job Search provides examples every step of the way, so the person taking the workshop can relate what they are learning to themselves,” said Ms. Goldstein.
The fee for the self-paced workshop is $295, and includes the opportunity to have a career coach session with a professional Career Counselor from Berkeley College. The workshop will be available free of charge to Berkeley College students and alumni. The Career Counselor will provide insight and guidance on the individual’s job search.
