BERKELEY COLLEGE CITED AS TOP VETERAN-FRIENDLY SCHOOL BY U.S. VETERANS MAGAZINE

U.S. Veterans Magazine has recognized Berkeley College as a Top Veteran-Friendly School in the magazine’s annual “Best of the Best” evaluation of more than 350 American employers, initiatives, government agencies and educational institutions dedicated to providing opportunities to veterans, transitioning service members, disabled veterans, spouses and veteran business owners. Berkeley College was among four educational institutions located in New Jersey, and 13 in New York, to receive the recognition this year.
“Berkeley College is committed to further preparing veterans, service members, and their families for successful careers in the civilian workforce,” said Edward Dennis, Berkeley College Assistant Vice President, Office of Military and Veterans Affairs. “The Berkeley College Class of 2018 included more than 140 military aligned graduates, and 26 inductions into the Veteran National Honor Society SALUTE.”

Recent related recognition awards for Berkeley College include: Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans by U.S. News & World Report for five consecutive years, Best for Vets: Four-year Colleges by Military Times magazine, and Top School by Military Advanced Education & Transition magazine.

This year’s salute also included the inaugural induction of 26 student-veterans into the military-aligned honor society SALUTE, acknowledging their academic achievements.
The Berkeley College Office of Military and Veterans Affairs provides support to its student-veterans through five on-site veterans resource centers (VRCs) in New Jersey and New York, as well as through an Online VRC. At the VRCs, military students can meet with staff, network with their peers, and learn about Veterans Administration benefits. Berkeley College participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program under the G.I. Bill and collaborates on national ventures with the National Guard, the Army and the Air Force, the GoArmyEd distance-learning program, and the Navy College Program Distance Learning Partnership.
