Berkeley College was pleased to celebrate the inaugural induction of 237 students into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at a ceremony and reception held in honor of these future leaders at the Brownstone in Paterson, NJ, on Tuesday, August 2. In addition, 139 Berkeley College students are current members of the online chapter.

“In addition to the network of more than 50,000 Berkeley College alumni, now you can engage with nearly 600,000 NSLS members nationally from more than 500 college chapters,” said Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College, in addressing the students. “As members of NSLS, you will have access to wonderful opportunities that can contribute to your professional development and help advance your future careers.”

According to the organization, the NSLS is the nation’s largest leadership honor society.  Students are selected by their colleges for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential.  Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. The organization hosts live-streamed speaker events, allowing members to hear from and interact with national leaders, celebrities and best-selling authors such as Arianna Huffington, Carly Fiorina, and Rudy Giuliani.

A leader in providing career-focused education since 1931, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls approximately 8,300 students – including more than 700 international students – in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree and Certificate programs. Students can study in more than 20 career fields. Berkeley College is comprised of the Larry L. Luing School of Business®, the School of Professional Studies, the School of Health Studies and the School of Liberal Arts.
