BERKELEY COLLEGE CAREER SERVICES TEAM
HOSTS FASHION SPEED NETWORKING EVENT

Berkeley College

Photo Caption (above): Guest presenter Fleriser Bello, Founder and CEO of Bellas Fashionistas, Inc., in Bronx, NY, advised Berkeley College students about how to brand yourself at a special Fashion Speed Networking event hosted by Berkeley College Career Services on November 27 in Midtown Manhattan. She discussed influential brand behaviors such as what you wear and how you talk, including nonverbal communication. The evening included developing short individualized “elevator pitches” and a Speed Networking Exercise with employers and peers in which the students applied the techniques and suggestions they learned during the presentations. Employer participants included representatives from Ann Taylor, Brooklyn Workforce One and the Goodkind Group.  Below: Jairo Borja, Berkeley College Director, Business Development (at right) said Ms. Bello’s recommendations would be helpful to students.
