BERKELEY COLLEGE BOARD CHAIRMAN ANNOUNCES NEW TRUSTEES


Berkeley College Board Chairman Kevin L. Luing is pleased to announce the appointments of Julio C. Monroy and Angelica O. Tang to the Berkeley College Board of Trustees.

Julio C. Monroy, a Berkeley College alumnus, has more than 10 years of experience in healthcare marketing.  He started his career at Pfizer, Inc., in New York, NY, supporting patient education and promoting brand awareness in the fields of diabetes, urology and pulmonary hypertension in the United States.  At Olympus Surgical & Industrial America, Orangeburg, NY, Mr. Monroy had product and marketing responsibilities for innovative surgical techniques that advanced minimally invasive surgery to improve patient care. He currently holds the position of Senior Marketing Manager at Maquet Cardiovascular in Mahwah, NJ, where his responsibilities include global strategic and tactical marketing initiatives.

Mr. Monroy received an MBA in marketing from St. John’s University in Queens, NY, and a BBA in Business Management from Berkeley College in Manhattan, NY.  He currently resides in Maywood, New Jersey.

Angelica O. Tang is Executive Director, Committee of 100, New York, NY.  The Committee’s efforts involve encouraging constructive relations between the peoples of the United States and Greater China, as well as encouraging the full participation of Chinese Americans in all aspects of American life.  Ms. Tang came to C-100 after a distinguished career in local and federal government, serving Asian American and other immigrant communities, and being engaged in bilateral relations with China.  Ms. Tang has served the public in many capacities, including as Coordinator of Community Affairs, Office of New York City Council President; Director of International Business, New York City Commission for International Business and United Nations; Executive Director, New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and Language Services; and as the Secretary’s Regional Representative, United States Department of Labor.

Ms. Tang received a BA in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and resides in New York, NY.
