BERKELEY COLLEGE ATHLETE FROM SOUTHERN BRONX RECEIVES
ATHLETIC HONORS FROM HUDSON VALLEY WOMEN’S ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Berkeley College is proud to announce that junior forward Milan Germany of southern Bronx, NY, has received athletic honors from the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) for women’s basketball. Ms. Germany is a student at the New York City location.
Ms. Germany was named HVWAC Rookie of the Week during the week of December 11 for her performance in a game against Vassar College, during which she scored 29 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had two assists and two steals.
Ms. Germany also was named to the HVWAC Honor Roll during the week of December 4 for her performance in the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament at Medgar Evers College. She was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament, averaging 13 points, nine rebounds, 7.5 assists and six steals.
“We are extremely proud of Milan for this well-deserved recognition,” said Brian Maher, Berkeley College Athletic Director. “Her outstanding performance is a result of hard work and dedication and we expect more great things from her at Berkeley.”
