BERKELEY COLLEGE ATHLETE FROM MANHATTAN NAMED ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
BY HUDSON VALLEY INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
Berkeley College is proud to announce that freshman forward Haakon Schjelderup of Manhattan, NY, and Kolvereid, Norway, has been named Rookie of the Week by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) for men’s soccer. Mr. Schjelderup attends Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan.
Mr. Schjelderup received the HVIAC honor during the week of October 21 for scoring the game-winning goals against The King’s College in Manhattan, NY, and SUNY College at Old Westbury in Old Westbury, NY. He was previously named to the HVIAC honor roll two times this season.
“We are extremely proud of Haakon for this well-deserved recognition,” said Brian Maher, Berkeley College Athletic Director. “His outstanding performance is a result of hard work and dedication and we expect more great things from him at Berkeley.”
