BERKELEY COLLEGE ATHLETE FROM CENTRAL ISLIP RECEIVES ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS
FROM UNITED STATES COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

Berkeley College is proud to announce that sophomore guard Janay Thomas of Central Islip in Suffolk County, NY, has received All-Academic honors from the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) for women’s basketball. Ms. Thomas is a student at Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan.

“Janay has been a leader both on and off the court this season, handling most of the point guard duties while also performing exceptionally well in the classroom,” said Brian Maher, Berkeley College Athletic Director. “She is well deserving of this prestigious academic honor.”

The USCAA is a national organization that provides quality athletic competition on a regional and national level while promoting integrity, leadership, scholarship and values of life. The association conducts national championships, recognizes All-Americans and scholar athletes, and promotes USCAA member schools.

A leader in business education for more than 80 years, Berkeley College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and enrolls more than 7,700 students — including over 800 international students — in its Baccalaureate and Associate degree programs. The College has three New York locations — Midtown Manhattan, Brooklyn and White Plains. In New Jersey there are four locations — Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge and Newark. Berkeley College Online also offers full degree programs. Programs are offered in more than 20 career fields. The website address is www.BerkeleyCollege.edu.
